As we grow up we learn many different things; how to walk, tie our shoe, add, read, write, etc.. There are so many things for us to master. But to often we are not taught how to deal with our emotions. We are left to our own devices to learn how to handle disappointment, happiness, anger, anxiety, compassion, fear, and even joy. The world tells us things that are contrary to what God would have us do with our emotions. The world screams out and God sits patiently. The unfortunate thing is that most listen to the voice that is the loudest and do not seek for the quiet, calm voice.
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. (John 10:27)
The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic. (Psalm 29:4)
Oh God, may I listen to Your voice above all others.
