Many women get stretch marks during pregnancy. I've come across a few thoughts about stretch marks I wanted to share. It's a natural thing that happens as the baby grows inside. Stretch marks are usually ugly looking but worth it. Physical stretch marks are reminders of what the woman's body went through to birth a child. Spiritual stretch marks remind you of what God can and will do. How do you look at your spiritual stretch marks? Are those marks worth the hardship you go through? Every time you walk into hardships your spiritual muscles will be stretched.
Marc and I have been in business for four years and we have seen some hardships. We have struggled with not enough money coming in but to much work for Marc to do on his own. We have lost accounts and gained others. We have had equipment issues and new equipment purchases. Marc has kept walking the journey that God has laid before him. AND God has provided what we have needed. All the stretch marks we have received over the past four years are reminders to us that God has and will keep His promise to His people. God is faithful to those to hope and trust in Him.
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
